LASG COMMITTED TO PROVISION OF WHOLESOME WATER

The Executive Secretary Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission (LASWARCO), Funke Adepoju, has said the government of Babajide Sanwo-Olu is committed to providing wholesome potable water for residents.

Adepoju, expressed the state government’s commitment while welcoming the newly elected officials of Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) who paid a courtesy visit to her office in Alausa.

She was quick to thank the members led by the National President of ATWAP, Clementina Ativie and the Chairman, Lagos State Chapter, Omolabake Mosaku, for appreciating the Commission’s effort at reforming the water sector for the benefit of all stakeholders.

She acknowledged the constant interaction of the organisation with the State Government, declaring that the Commission is poised to ensure that provision of quality and wholesome water is placed on the front burner to generate an equitable return on investment.

The Executive Secretary expressed the Commission’s determination to clamp down on unprofessional water producers for their unethical conduct with the promise, that the Commission is ready to work with the new officials of ATWAP to sanitise the sector.
