Kano State Hisba Board has destroyed bottles of alcohol worth over N100m confiscated within the state.
Point News247 reports that the exercise was carried out at Kalebawa in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state by the state commandant Shiekh Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn on Wednesday.
He said the alcohol bottles were intercepted in different operations carried out across the 44 local Governments of the state.
He said it was part of the board’s efforts to prevent consumption of alcohol and other intoxicants across the state.
Ibn Sina explained that the bottles of alcohol worth N100m were destroyed after receiving a court order.
He noted that the command will continue to intensify its efforts to curtail all forms of social vices across the state.
