The Nigeria Customs Service Federal Operations Unit Zone B Kaduna has continued to live up to it’s mandate of nipping smuggling in the bud.

FOU Zone “B” has presented to the public a record of its activities in April 2022.
In a media interaction held at his office in Kaduna today 26 April 2022, Compt. Albashir Hamisu said 96 seizures worth N232, 530,050.42 made by his Unit between 23 March and 25 April 2022.
Showcasing the Smuggled items , Compt. Hamisu, explained that the Seizures made comprise 1,314 bags of foreign parboiled rice, a total of 219,000 tablets of Ladinax and Sifdol both unregistered pharmaceuticals, 642 cartons of foreign spaghetti and macaroni, 30egs of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) 25Liter size.
Prominent among the interceptions made were 15 bags of 100kg beans containing foreign parboiled rice ingeniously concealed with the beans, 94 bales of foreign secondhand clothing, 49 pieces of used tyres amongst other general trade goods.
Comptroller Hamisu thank the general public for their cooperation in offering information which has greatly helped the Unit in tackling cases of Smuggling and identification of inconspicuous concealments.
The comptroller also thanked the Comptroller General of Customs and his management team for the recently released promotions and promised that his Officers will redouble their efforts to justify the responsibility entrusted to them.
