The commissioner Representing Isoko Ethic Nationality on the board of Delta State oil producing Area development commission, Dr Paul Oweh said politicians should know that the era of thuggery and using illegal means to get into office is fading away.
Dr Oweh made the statement on Sunday in Delta state, while reacting to the results of the People democratic party Primary election for the House of representatives, Isoko Federal Constituency.
He said the outcome of the election showed democracy in action which should be improved upon, adding that the will of the people had prevailed.
Dr Oweh congratulated the winners, noting that going forward, thiggery, violence is not the way to choose fromrepresentatives in any election.
” As a politician if you desire to grow, get in touch with your people, get involved with them, good relationship, let them be in touch with you, they decide who will be there.I think that’s a lesson for them going forward”.
