Sequel to the fulfillment of his promise of good governance to the people of Onigbongbo LCDA, the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Oladotun Olakanle, commissioned five (5) high-profile projects in his stewardship address, witnessed by party chieftains.
In a press statement by the chief press secretary to the Chairman, Balogun Adebesin stated that the achievements are one of a kind in the community, which never happened in the history of Onigbongbo LCDA, and brought a new vista to the amiable Chairman, Mr. Koseleri of Onigbongbo LCDA.
Speaking to stakeholders at the event, Tant’Olorun welcomed everyone and assured indigenes and residents of Onigbongbo LCDA of continuous sustainable development across communities.
According to him, “We will ensure that our electorates continued to have confidence in our style of governance and enjoy dividends of democracy.”
The five landmark projects are, namely, road construction of Akerele Street, Abule Onigbongbo Area Office, a compactor truck to support the LAWMA, cash grants of one hundred thousand naira (100,000) for one hundred (100) beneficiaries or quarterly grants for the elderly, and the Onigbongbo LCDA New Ground Breaking Secretariat Complex.
Expectedly, he also gave insight on the expected 2024 budget towards improving existing efforts in areas such as infrastructure, basic education, health and environment, road rehabilitation and reconstruction, and other core areas of grassroot governance.
The event, that later turned to a non-denominational prayer session, was witnessed by APC Chairperson Alhaja Iyabode Akerele, the GAC leader, Dr Abayomi Finnih, Hon. Niyi Oyemade, Chief Engineer Akinbolade, Hon. Babatunde Ogala SAN, Hon. Folajimi Mohammed, and other Party leaders. Their presence was appreciated.
