An Egalitarian reformer and industry builder in Nigeria’s growing upstream and downstream oil sector has emerged with foresight and big ideas to add to the expansion of the oil sector in the county.
Victor Kalu, the current Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zend Technology Company Limited, pioneers in helping the government to leverage the informal sector for revenue growth.
Before his advent to the oil sector, In 2023/2024, Zend was appointed by the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue to collect revenue from the informal sector in Oshimili South (State capital) and Oshimili North.
He is also the Executive Chairman, Vindi Petroleum: operators of strategic petro service stations in Nigeria with the ambitious plan and a unique franchise model of rolling out 750 retail points and uniform prices of Petroleum products across Nigeria.
His visionary acumen of entrepreneurship glowingly showed when he launched a filling station in a community at Ijegun close to Maza- Maza FESTAC to support the tribes located in that area of town with highly subsidized petroleum products.
Before now, He was one of Globacom’s top brains that joined the company as Divisional Manager, Data Business, then Regional Manager, Secondary Sales, Lagos and Ogun, resigned as Head of Activation Backend.
He played vital roles in Glo’s successes in data business, customer acquisition, and billions in revenue.
Before joining Globacom, he was Country Manager, Torilo, a UK based technology company. Also National Sales Manager, European Personal Care Limited.
A young man with eyes on ball has many things to do to assist the downtrodden and build startups towards moving millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
He is a fellow of the African Institute of Enterprise Development and Management.
