A court has granted Dele Farotimi bail in the sum of ₦30 million, prompting reactions from leaders of the Obidient Movement.

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, confirmed that Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, facilitated the bail conditions as a gesture of leadership and respect for the rule of law.

“I consulted His Excellency Peter Obi as the leader of the Obidient Movement. As a respecter of the rule of law, due process, and order, he offered to take Dele Farotimi on the bail conditions,” Tanko said.

Tanko expressed gratitude to the courts and all stakeholders involved in resolving the matter, emphasizing the importance of upholding justice.

“His Excellency is concerned that the situation is resolved in the best interest of all concerned as well as our legal system. He extends his sincere appreciation to all involved,” Tanko added.

The development underscores the commitment of the Obidient Movement to justice and due process in Nigeria’s legal framework.
