Delta South PDP Backs Oborevwori’s Leadership, Hails Dev’tal Strides

••••Says PDP Remains United, Focused as Leaders Laud Governor’s Impact

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta South Senatorial District has expressed confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s performance, citing his developmental initiatives and inclusive leadership.

During an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting held at the Effurun residence of former Deputy Governor Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, party members unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the governor.

The motion, moved by Hon. Ferguson Onwo (Isoko South Constituency II) and seconded by Hon. Augustine Uroye (Warri South I Constituency), was affirmed through a voice vote conducted by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor.

The chairman of the district, Chief Emman Amgbaduba, emphasized unity and inclusivity among party members while urging local government chairmen to improve communication with stakeholders.

“We are one united body, and I urge everyone to work for the progress of our party. Discrimination has no place here; we must see ourselves as one,” Chief Amgbaduba said.

He commended Governor Oborevwori for his numerous appointments and development projects in the region, calling for additional slots and attention to the district’s needs. “Our district has always supported every administration diligently, and we plead for more opportunities for our people,” he added.

Leaders from various ethnic groups, including Chief Joe Arausi (Isoko), Chief Roland Oritsejafor (Itsekiri), Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, and Hon. Matthew Opuoru, affirmed their commitment to the PDP’s dominance in Delta South.

“We have successfully merged all other political structures into the PDP, creating a unified front. The party remains the most active and trusted in Isoko land,” Chief Arausi said.

The leaders also called on Governor Oborevwori to prioritize riverine projects to address pressing community needs.

Delta State PDP Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, praised Governor Oborevwori’s performance, urging the party to maintain its unity.

“Meetings like this are essential for fostering collaboration and ensuring the PDP remains a formidable force. Let’s continue to work together for the party’s growth,” Chief Arenyeka said.

The meeting reaffirmed the district’s commitment to the PDP’s mission and Governor Oborevwori’s vision of inclusive governance, with stakeholders vowing to secure victories in future elections.
