The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has reinforced its partnership with International Breweries Plc as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency and optimise revenue generation.

The partnership was renewed on Thursday when the Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Wale Moses Adewole, hosted a delegation from International Breweries Plc, Ilesha, at the operational headquarters of the Command.

While welcoming the delegation, DC Adewole expressed profound appreciation for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of the company’s dedication to institutional cooperation.

He described International Breweries Plc as a critical stakeholder of Customs, commending the organisation for its consistent compliance with the provisions of the Nigeria Customs Service Act governing excise operations.

DC Adewole emphasised the importance of sustained synergy between the Service and excise factories, noting that such collaboration remains pivotal to achieving the core mandates of the Service, particularly in the areas of trade facilitation, regulatory compliance, and revenue generation.

He further sought the company’s continued support and cooperation, similar to that enjoyed by his predecessors and assured the delegation of the Command’s unwavering commitment to providing a conducive operational environment that promotes transparency, efficiency, and mutual growth.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Operational Manager of International Breweries Plc, Ilesha, Mr. Emmanuel Onabanjo, expressed gratitude to the Acting Customs Area Controller and the Command’s principal officers for the warm reception accorded to him and his team.

Onabanjo reaffirmed the factory’s commitment to maintaining a strong and productive relationship with the Service and pledged continuous cooperation in all statutory requirements.

He also assured the Command of the company’s readiness to provide timely information and necessary assistance to officers deployed to the facility to support the effective discharge of their responsibilities.

The visit highlights the Nigeria Customs Service’s stakeholder engagement strategy aimed at fostering voluntary compliance, strengthening public-private partnerships, and promoting seamless excise administration.

The Command reiterated its commitment to strengthening collaboration with compliant organisations while advancing the Service’s overarching goal of national economic growth and development.
