Fidelity Bank Plc marked International Women’s Day 2026 by rolling out the “Give Her Power” series under its HerFidelity platform, featuring masterclasses, hands-on training, and direct support to foster income-generating skills and career advancement through March. The initiative, themed “Give to Gain,” kicked off with a March 18 masterclass on communication, presentation, audience engagement, event moderation, confidence-building, and personal branding, tailored for women aiming to elevate their public speaking and professional profiles.
A upcoming Gele Masterclass on March 30 offers practical training in gele tying, blending cultural celebration with entrepreneurial potential as a viable income stream for participants. Complementing these, the bank provides professional headshot sessions to refresh personal and professional profiles, enhancing visibility in competitive spaces.
Ugochi Osinigwe, Divisional Head of Small and Medium-scale Enterprises Banking, emphasized the ripple effects of women’s economic empowerment: “It strengthens families, grows businesses, and uplifts communities.” She highlighted the focus on immediate, actionable tools for public confidence, branding, and monetizable skills.
Earlier on March 5, Fidelity signed MoUs with partners via the HerFidelity Apprenticeship Programme to broaden vocational training, business support, and enterprise opportunities across sectors. The bank is also distributing 1,000 sewing and grinding machines to fuel women-led microbusinesses nationwide.
