Fifty officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have completed the three-month Junior Course 25 at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja, marking a key advancement in their professional leadership careers.

Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the graduation ceremony on Friday, Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Adewale Adeniyi charged the graduates to uphold integrity, sound judgment, and national interest over personal gain.

He stressed that leadership in modern Customs administration requires competence and accountability beyond routine revenue generation.

Leadership is not defined solely by the rank that you wear, but is demonstrated through competence, fairness, courage and the responsibility you take,” Adeniyi told the graduates, urging them to apply their training to meet the demands of a complex operational environment.

On his part, the Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs, Dow Gaura, commended the officers’ dedication and highlighted ongoing institutional upgrades, including digital learning tools and strategic training partnerships with the Nigerian Army.

The event featured the presentation of certificates to all 50 graduates, with special awards presented by the CGC to the three top-performing officers.

The Celebrations commenced earlier in the week on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, with a regimental dinner where DCG Suleiman Chiroma, representing the CGC, urged the cohort to bring vigilance and decisive leadership to their post-graduation assignments across various commands.
