Chain Reactions Africa has secured six nominations at the 2026 International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) Global Awards, emerging as the only Nigerian public relations consultancy on the published shortlist.
The nominations cover campaign creativity, digital communications, artificial intelligence, public affairs, sustainability and diversity, adding to the independent consultancy’s growing international recognition.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Milan, Italy, on November 12, 2026. The awards are judged by an international jury and recognise public relations work demonstrating strategic insight, creative excellence and meaningful impact.
Chain Reactions Africa was shortlisted in the Championing Diversity category, while its “Deeply Rooted” campaign for Orijin, developed for Guinness Nigeria, earned a nomination in Consumer Goods.
Its “#NigeriaRebounds” campaign, created to communicate the gains of Nigeria’s Economic Reform Programme, was nominated for Best Digital, New Media and Influencer Marketing Campaign.
“Show Some Luv to Mum,” developed for Indomie by Dufil Prima Foods, secured a nomination for Best Use of AI in a Campaign.
The consultancy also received a Best ESG Campaign nomination for “Customs Cares,” created for the Nigeria Customs Service, and a Best Public Affairs Campaign nomination for “From Promises to Proofs,” which communicated the gains of President Bola Tinubu’s Economic Reform Programme.
Commenting on the shortlist, the consultancy’s Founder and Chief Strategist, Israel Opayemi, said the recognition demonstrated the ability of independent African firms to compete with established global public relations networks.
“These nominations demonstrate that an independent African consultancy can develop distinctive and breakthrough campaign ideas that deliver meaningful outcomes while competing alongside other established global PR networks,” he said.
Opayemi added that the firm’s approach combined African insight with cultural intelligence to produce work capable of withstanding international scrutiny.
“For us, the real measure of communications is not visibility alone, but its ability to influence perspectives and deliver impact,” he said.
The consultancy said “From Promises to Proofs” focused on explaining the administration’s reform agenda and progress, while “#NigeriaRebounds” extended the messaging through digital platforms.
The ICCO nominations come alongside another international recognition for “From Promises to Proofs,” which was selected among the Top 40 campaigns for the 2026 Global SABRE Awards in Chicago on October 26.
The campaign was chosen from more than 5,500 entries across over 60 countries. Opayemi is also scheduled to speak at the event on the strategy behind the campaign and its intended outcomes.
Earlier, Chain Reactions Africa won three trophies at the 2026 Africa SABRE Awards and finished second overall on the continent. “From Promises to Proofs” was also a finalist for the African Platinum SABRE award.
The firm recently won the Large Consultancy category and ranked third overall in Earned First’s inaugural Africa Consultancy Performance Index.
The latest nominations broaden the consultancy’s international profile across both campaign delivery and business performance.
