CYBER CRIME: EFCC ARRESTS 22 YAHOO BOYS SUSPECTS IN OYO STATE

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan Zonal Command, has arrested 22 suspected Internet fraudsters also known as Yahoo Boys.

EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, said the Yahoo boys were arrested when operatives of the anti-graft agency raided their hideout based on intelligence report in Ogbomoso, Oyo State

According to him,Five cars, mobile phones and laptops were recovered from the suspected fraudsters.

Uwujaren said, “At the point of their arrest, five cars, several mobile phones, laptops and other incriminating documents were recovered from them.

“Twenty of the suspects have been indicted by our investigation. They will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded”.

Point News learnt that, the arrested suspects include Akintunde Olajide, Yusuf Afeez, Jimoh Okikiola, Adeyemo Adegoke, Ademola Saheed, Anif Busayo, Oriade Oluwatobi, Ajadi Damilola, Peter Blessing, Olaoluwa Oguniran, Agbei Peter, Toheeb Tola and Ajayi Umar.

Others are Ibrahim Ishola, Samson Oluwafemi, Oki Oluwadunsi, Durosamo Dickson, Akinremi Abiodun, Ahmed Ogunyele, and Olawore Olalekan.
