Point News247 reports that a
42-year old Zenith Bank Staff, Chikezie Mbonu, has displayed his boxing skills on his wife, Amaka, by raining fist blows and inflicting injuries on her over inability to meet up with his high sex libido in Lagos.

According to FORENSIC news, it was alleged that the constant beating happened at Monsuru Bisiriyu Street, Ago Palace Way, Okota area of Lagos, where they reside with their two kids.

According to their neighbours, the woman, Amaka, had been receiving constant beatings from her husband, Chikezie, over her inability to cooperate with him on the bed after exhaustive work in the daytime.

It was gathered that the woman, Amaka, works at a Health company and she is always busy during the day and before she gets home in the evening, she will be exhausted while Chikezie, who works in the bank, hoping to touch Amaka on getting home will be disappointed, which results to constant beating.

The beating was said to have become a constant occurrence to the extent they had even gone to their church for the Pastor to mediate yet it did not yield any result.

The last beating happened on 2nd January, 2022, when Amaka was said to have bought clothes for their children for the New Year Sunday as against the ones her husband, Chikezie, had bought for them.

Chikezie was said to have directed Amaka for the children to change to the clothes he bought for them but she reportedly refused insisting that the children must wear the clothes she had bought.

Her insistence angered Chikezie, who attacked Amaka with fist blows severally on her head and ear before he used a plastic chair to hit her hand. She got injured in the process and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ago Okota Division and Chikezie was arrested.
Having been found culpable after thorough interrogation, he was subsequently charged before the Isolo Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The charge read: “That you Chikezie Mbonu on the same date, time and place did assault your wife, Amaka Chikezie and she sustained injury on her body…”

He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr. Oje Uagbale, informed the Court that they were husband and wife but the husband committed a criminal offence by assaulting the wife, asking the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. A. Akokhia, granted him bail on self recognition and adjourned the matter to 16th March, 2022, for mention hoping the couple would resolve the matter.

It was gathered that the woman, Amaka, insisted that she was no longer interested in the marriage because of the constant beatings and demands for sex as she can no longer cope with Chikezie. She explained that she goes to work very early and comes late exhausted but Chikezie will not allow her to rest. And when she refuses him sex, he will start beating her. She said that the only condition, which will make her withdraw the matter from Court is for Chikezie to divorce her and state the amount he will be bringing for the care of the children.

But Chikezie on his part said he was not ready for divorce and pleaded with her that he will not beat her again nor demand for sex unless when Amaka wants it for peace to reign in the marriage because of their children.

The woman, Amaka, was yet to accept as at the time of filing this report.
