In the wake of mindless killings and unnecessary terror, another Nigerian politician’s life has been cut short
Point News247 reports that a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Sunday Frank Oputu, has been killed by unknown gunmen suspected to be assassins.
Frank Oputu is a strong supporter of the Senator Heineken Lokpobiri whose faction is contesting the legality of the recently conducted ward, local government and state congresses of the APC in a Bayelsa State High Court.
The deceased was an indigene of Igbemotoru in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state, he is said to be in his early fifties .
He was a former Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) in the state.
It was gathered that the deceased was reportedly killed in an execution like style about 11:50pm yesterday at his Bay-Bridge residence, Yenezue-gene, Yenagoa.
