The Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s Executive Assistant forecast the PDP flawleass gubernatorial primary election in Delta State.
The governor’s senior special assistant on communication. Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesiwa stated this on Wednesday in Asaba that, Delta is calm and cool.
According to the ES , “we are ready for the election, today is delegates party primary for the Gubernatorial election, but as you can see, accreditation is on going, we are quite satisfied with the peace and tranquility in this venue.
“As you can see everybody is facing his business, no riot, no quarreling, no complain, everywhere is peaceful.
And I’m sure at the end of the day our candidate is going to be victorious.
Apperentely referring to Sheriff’s popularity in the state, HE said, “Rt Hon, Sheriff Oborevwori is the man of the moment in Delta state. It is the man of the moment in the entire state. if you had monitored our political consultation across the state, you would’ve realized there is a difference between a sun and the father, and is this man that the people so much loved.
“He has been grassrooted all his life. He has stayed in Osubi all his life, he has been in Delta politics from the beginning, he lives in Nigeria, he has not gone anywhere, his children, all his family. He is a man of the people.
“That Is why when the newspaper such as vanguard, guardian, Independent and pointnews247 wrote that Delta has been Sheriffied, It was from what they know from Delta State politics.
That Sheriffication of Delta State is something that is a movement that has come to play.
“And today will be the result of that movement that Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori will be voted for as the Gubernatorial candidate Of the people democratic party PDP.
“There is nothing like if it does not turn out, because I know that’s some of the aspirins might have one vote, two votes. Some three, some will have zero, some will even score nothing at the end of the day, jubilation for Sheriff Oborevwori. But my advice for the people that will lose today, is that they should take it easy. One step at a time, politics is dynamic, that is not the end of the world. He said.
