Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, his wife Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, are among dignitaries billed to attend the thanksgiving service of the member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko.
The thanksgiving, which is in appreciation to God, for victory in the February 25 general election, at the tribunal and Court of Appeal, is to hold at Ukodhiko’s country home at Erawha-Owhe, Isoko North Local Government Area on Sunday December 24, 2023.
A statement jointly signed by the Chairman Central Organising Committee, Dr Paul Oweh and Chairman Media and Publicity Committee, Comrade Felix Ofou, indicated that former Governors of the state, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, will grace the ceremony.
Also expected are Senator Ned Nwoko, Senator Joel Onowakpo-Thomas and Senator Ede Dafinone, representing the three Senatorial Districts of the state, as well as, former Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Senator James Manager and former Minority Leaders House of Representatives, Hon. Leo Ogor, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, and members of the House of Representatives from the state.
Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, are to lead a high-powered delegation of members of the House, members of the State Executive Council, Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu and top government functionaries to the thanksgiving.
Others include the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, members of the State Exco and LGA Party Chairmen as well as Local Government Council Chairmen who are expected to attend the event.
The statement further invites party stakeholders and leaders of Isoko nation, far and near, to attend the thanksgiving ceremony, in celebration of Ukodhiko’s victory as the Representative of the Isoko people.
