Isoko Royal Lions Club Unveils Renovated Children’s Ward at Oleh Central Hospital

The Isoko Royal Lions Club has commissioned the 2025 Legacy Project, a renovated children’s ward at the Oleh Central Hospital in Isoko North LGA, Delta State. The event, which took place at the hospital, was attended by dignitaries, including Jorthan Ukodhiko member House Of Assembly Dr Paul Oweh, Chairman of the Hospital Management Board, ministry of health , Beatrice Ubeko, ministry of health and other dignitaries.

The children’s ward was originally built by the Ewheyae Isoko Association, and the Lions Club undertook the renovation project. Lion Prince Osadebamwen NLCF, JP, led the commissioning ceremony, which also featured the presentation of awards to deserving individuals who contributed to the project.

Mrs. Princess Oweh, who is the charted president of Isoko, gave her an opening speech

“Distinguished guests, fellow Lions, and friends, I am honoured to stand before you today as we mark a significant milestone in our journey to serve humanity. Today, we gather to commission the 2025 Legacy Project, a renovated children’s ward at the Oleh Central Hospital.

I would like to extend a special welcome to our dignitaries, including Dr. Paul Oweh, Chairman of the Hospital Management Board, and a representative from the House of Representatives Jorthan Ukodhiko passed his message through his representative . Your presence here today underscores the importance of this project and the impact it will have on our community.

To our partners, the Ewheyae Isoko Association, who originally built this children’s ward, we thank you for your vision and commitment to improving the lives of our people. To our fellow Lions, who worked tirelessly to renovate this facility, I salute your dedication and selflessness.

Today’s event is not just about commissioning a renovated children’s ward; it’s about celebrating the power of collaboration and community spirit. It’s about recognizing the contributions of individuals and organizations who have worked together to make a difference in the lives of others.

I would like to thank our district governor and other top executive members of Lions Club, who are here with us today. Your leadership and guidance have been invaluable to our club, and we are grateful for your support.

To our awardees, who will be receiving recognition for their contributions to this project, I congratulate you on your well-deserved awards. Your selflessness and commitment to serving others are an inspiration to us all.

Thank you all for being here today, and let us continue to work together to make a positive impact in our community.

Other notable attendees included Mrs. Beatrice Ubeko, a founding member of Ewheyae Isoko and a Lion Club member, as well as other Lion members. The event highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Isoko community and the Lions Club in improving healthcare infrastructure in the region.
