The President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has commended two Mobile Police Force (PMF) officers attached to the union’s national headquarters in Lagos for their professionalism, dedication, and exemplary conduct, following their recent promotion.
The officers — Marcus Peter and Segun Oladunjoye — were formerly Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP I, Unconfirmed) and have now been elevated to the rank of Confirmed ASP II.
This was contained in a statement issued by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN.
Their promotion, according to the union leader, reflects their consistent commitment to duty and the high level of discipline they have demonstrated while serving at the MWUN headquarters.
Comrade Bunu praised the officers for maintaining outstanding strong work ethics, and unwavering loyalty in executing their responsibilities, particularly in the protection of lives and property, which he noted remains the core mandate of the Nigeria Police Force.
He recalled that since their deployment to the union, the officers have upheld the highest standards of conduct, ensuring orderliness and efficient enforcement of security within the premises.
The MWUN President-General urged the newly promoted officers to sustain their diligence and continue projecting the image of the Nigeria Police Force positively through their actions and character.
