He revealed that the items were intercepted at various flashpoints across the Command’s area of responsibility through credible intelligence, sustained patrols, and strategic enforcement operations.

Adewole attributed the operational successes recorded to the Service’s mandate of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling, and protection of the national economy.

“In the area of revenue generation, the Command collected a total of ₦8,374,471,941.10k for the month of December 2025.

“However, it is worthy of note that the Command surpassed the revenue target for 2025; ₦86,297,581,081.00k, a revenue target surplus of ₦13,135,424, 793.29k, resulting to a 15.22% increase in the year 2025 revenue target,” he said.

DC Adewole attributed the 2025 collection to improved compliance, effective monitoring, and the commitment of officers to lawful trade facilitation.

He reiterated the Command’s commitment to zero tolerance against smuggling and other forms of economic disruption, noting that the Command would continue to collaborate with sister security agencies and engage stakeholders to achieve the shared objective of national economic security.

He warned smugglers to desist from illegal activities, stressing that the Command would not relent in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.

Adewole expressed gratitude to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his unwavering support towards achieving the Command’s set goals.

He thanked all stakeholders for their compliance and stance in ensuring the Command achieve set objectives while also appreciating the press for their cooperation and timely dissemination of information to the general public.
