The Finance and Business Online Publishers Association has confirmed that all preparations are complete for the third edition of its Youth Capacity Building and Empowerment Programme for Senior Secondary School students in Lagos State.
The conference, themed Digital Skills, Artificial Intelligence, Online Safety, Insurance and Financial Literacy for Nigerian Youth, will hold on Thursday, 4 June 2026, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Centre in Ikeja, Lagos.
The event is expected to bring together hundreds of students, educators, policymakers, technology experts, insurance professionals, financial literacy advocates, and other stakeholders dedicated to preparing young Nigerians for the opportunities and challenges of the digital economy.
A standout feature of this year’s programme is a special Artificial Intelligence Masterclass led by a leading AI specialist. The session will give students practical exposure to AI technologies, real-world applications, emerging career paths, and the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world.
FiBOP President Charles Onwuatogwu said the association remains committed to equipping young Nigerians with relevant knowledge and practical skills for future success.
This initiative goes beyond classroom learning. It creates direct interaction between students and industry leaders shaping the future of technology, insurance, finance, and business. Everything is now in place for another impactful edition of the programme, he said.
Barnabas Esiet, Head of the Organising Committee, expressed confidence in the organisers’ readiness.
All logistics and programme arrangements have been finalised. The AI Masterclass, together with sessions on digital skills, online safety, insurance, and financial literacy, will equip participants with valuable knowledge and inspiration as they prepare for future workplaces and entrepreneurial opportunities, he said.
The programme will feature lectures, interactive discussions, and mentorship sessions led by industry professionals, policymakers, and government officials, including the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Lagos State.
Now in its third year, the FiBOP Youth Capacity Building and Empowerment Programme is part of the association’s broader commitment to promoting digital literacy, financial inclusion, and youth empowerment across Nigeria.
The initiative aims to equip students with practical life skills while connecting them with industry experts and public sector leaders for mentorship and career guidance.
FiBOP is a registered association of online publishers dedicated to capacity building and contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of the Nigerian and African economy.
