YULETIDE SECURITY: ANAMBRA POLICE JOIN OTHERS TO CARRY OUT VISIBILITY PATROL ON FLASHPOINTS

Anambra State Police Command in collaboration with other Sister Security Agencies have Commenced Joint Visibility Patrol on black spots and other flashpoints in the State.

The security arrangements which is for Christmas and New Year Celebrations in the State is aimed at ensuring that “Ndi Anambra” and other residents alike are adequately protected during the Yulitide Season.

In a press statement signed by the command’s spokesman, SP Haruna Mohammed,
stated that, “Consequently, in continuation with the ongoing visibility patrol to all nooks and crannies in the State, the Joint teams comprising of the Command Rapid Response Squad(RRS),the Anti-Cult Section in collaboration with men attached to DSS have today 5th December,2020 visited Tollgate/building materials site,ugwu-nwasike roundabout,Nkpor junction/ roundabout,Upper Iweka Axis,Borromeo roundabout,Owerri-Aba road,head bridge Onitsha and other flashpoints.

“This patrol will further serve as deterrence and send a strong message to the miscreants that it would not be business as usual and that the Command is battle ready to deny criminal elements any opportunity to perpetrate crime in the State.It will also ensure safety and security of all citizens before during and after the Christmas and new year celebrations.

Meanwhile,the Commissioner of Police *CP John B.Abang, appealed to members of the public to report suspicious activities or individuals to the Police through on emergency number 07039194332 or to the nearest Police Statiom for prompt response.

The CP also assured the public that their report will be treated with absolute confidentiality.
