JUST IN: Ernest Shonekan’s Family Announces Funeral Arrangements

Point News247 reports that the family of the late Nigerian Leader, Ernest Shonekan has announced his burial arrangements.

The remains of Shonekan will be committed into mother earth on Friday, 4th of February, 2022.

The late Shonekan died on January 11th, 2022 in Lagos.

He was 85-years old at the time of his death.

He was the interim head of the Nigerian Government between August 26 and November 17 1993 when he was ousted in a coup led by late General Sani Abacha.

The statement read, “Burial Arrangements For Late Chief Dr. Ernest Shonekan, GCFR, CBE, Former Head of State, Federal Republic of Nigeria (1993).

“Service of Songs – Tuesday, 1st February, 2022

“Wake Keep & Night of Tributes – Thursday 3rd, February, 2022.

“Funeral Service & Parade of Honour – Friday 4th February, 2022.”
