Most Delta State inHdignes were amazed as they also jubilate the emergence of Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Honourable Sheriff Francis as PDP flag bearer in the state.
Pointnews247.com learnt that before the primaries, most party men and women across the length and breath of the state were positively expectant about the emergence of Sheriff as sole PDP candidate.
From the Governor Auther Ifeanyi Okowa, to Lawmakers and down to men on the street of Delta State, there was euphoria of enthusiasm in their prediction about Sheriff’s victory.
Other candidates were also brave to match Sheriff’s vote for vote in a contest of popularity.
However, evidence on ground, no doubt showed Sheriff’s overwhelming candour and popularlty among Deltans as attested to by party bigwigs.
Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is an attestation to his acceptability across the board as a detribalised leader.

Speaking further, he added: “Now that the primaries have come and gone, we enjoin all those who contested with Sheriff Oborevwori to rally around him
in the democratic spirit of one big family to garner victory for the PDP during the general elections.
Billionaire Ned Nwoko who won the PDP Senatorial Primary for Delta North also gave his congratulatory message following Sheriff’s scorecard which showed 590 votes from a total of 824 vote cast by duly accredited delegates from the 25 local government areas of the state.
As another popular Delta son Olorogun David Edevbie came a distant second with 113 votes, while incumbent Senator representing Delta South, Senator James Manager, came third position with 83 votes.

Also, Delta State Lawmaker Emeka Nwaobi also predicted the emergence of Speaker and PDP gubernatorial flag bearer Sheriff Francis at the Party’s Primaries on Thursday and it came to past.
Addressing plenary of the Delta State House of Assembly on the 25th of January 2022, he enjoined all his colleagues to support Mr. Speaker in his bid to becoming the next Governor of Delta State.
He said his spirit tells him that Mr. Speaker is the next Governor. He called on Deltans to support Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, so that he can continue from where Dr. Okowa will stop in 2023. It happened exactly the way he predicted it.
It’s expected Deltans will close ranks to vote Sheriff’s in the general elections.
