PDP DELTA GOV’SHIP TICKET: S’COURT OPENS HEARING ON EDEVBIE VS OBOREVWORI CASE

The Supreme Court on Thursday opened hearing on the people’s Democratic party’s Olorogun David Edevbie versus Sheriff Oborevwori on the battle for the party’s Governorship ticket

The case effectively entered the last lap with Thursday’s hearing although, after the filing of briefs, the Supreme Court granted Edevbie the order for substituted service to the respondents.

The matter was however adjourned till September 30 for the consideration of other preliminary issues.

You will recall that, after the PDP primaries in May, Olorogun David Edevbie challenged the qualification of Sheriff Oborevwori at the Federal High Court, Abuja, over discrepancies in his credentials and the court ruled Oborevwori unqualified but the Court of Appeal upturned the ruling prompting Edevbie to proceed to the Supreme Court.
