2025: Obidient Movement Calls for Unity to Rebuild Nigeria

****Says it’s A Year for Bold Action, Collective Impact – Dr. Yunusa Tanko

The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, has extended New Year greetings to Nigerians, urging citizens to embrace unity, patriotism, and action as the country embarks on a new chapter in 2025. In a goodwill message titled “2025: Rebuilding the Broken Walls of Nigeria,” Tanko reflected on the nation’s challenges and expressed optimism for a brighter future.

Reflecting on 2024
Describing the past year as one of the most challenging in Nigeria’s history, Tanko said, “2024 was filled with trials- from insecurity to economic downturns, hyperinflation, and a struggling health sector. Yet, these difficulties have prepared us to rebuild with courage and determination.”

Vision for a Prosperous Nigeria
Tanko emphasized that 2025 represents a fresh start for Nigeria. He called on Nigerians to channel their talents and energy toward creating a nation of global significance.

“This year, Nigeria will rise from obscurity to make a global impact,” he said. “We are poised to solve global problems, inspire innovations, and build a country where every citizen thrives.”

A Message to Youth and Elders
Addressing the youth, Tanko declared, “2025 is your year to prove that Nigerian talent is unmatched. You will lead global movements, create groundbreaking innovations, and position Africa on the world stage.”

To the elders, he added, “This is your time to leave a legacy. Make a positive statement by transforming every sector of our economy and shared national life.”

Mobilizing the Obidient Movement
Tanko urged members of the Obidient Movement to intensify their grassroots efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections. “This is our year to strengthen our resolve. Through town hall meetings, ward-to-ward sensitization, and community outreach, victory is within reach,” he stated.

Guiding Principles for 2025
He outlined a roadmap for Nigerians to embrace in the new year:

Advocate for good governance and national development. Show kindness and compassion to one another. Celebrate cultural diversity and unity. Pursue excellence and push beyond limits. Preserve the environment for future generations. Cultivate gratitude and appreciation for life’s blessings.

Tanko assured supporters that the Obidient Movement would unveil new initiatives aimed at transitioning Nigeria from consumption to production. “Everyone has a role to play in rebuilding our nation. Together, we will create a Nigeria defined by prosperity and greatness,” he said.

Dr. Tanko concluded with a message of hope and determination, “May 2025 bring joy, prosperity, and opportunities to every Nigerian family. The labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain. Together, we will rebuild Nigeria’s broken walls and restore her greatness.”
