President extends Customs CG, Adeniyi tenure by One year

The Presidency has announced a one-year extension of Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi’s tenure, initially set to expire on August 31, 2025.
In a press release signed by Bayo Onanuga
Special Adviser to the President
(Information & Strategy) Stated that the decision, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will enable Mr. Adeniyi to complete critical initiatives, including the modernisation of the Nigeria Customs Service, the National Single Window Project, and Nigeria’s AfCFTA obligations.

President Tinubu has recognised Mr. Adeniyi’s steadfast leadership, expressing confidence that this extension will enhance the Nigeria Customs Service’s ability to facilitate trade, generate revenue, and ensure border security
