Leadway, Nigeria’s leading non‑banking financial and wellbeing conglomerate, is raising the bar in women’s empowerment with its Hersurred initiative, which has grown from a niche recognition platform into a full‑blown movement spotlighting women driving change across finance, technology, entrepreneurship, the creative sector, public service, and social development. Launched in 2024, Hersurred has evolved into a dynamic ecosystem that celebrates women not just for participating in their fields, but for actively reshaping them through leadership, innovation, and impact.
This year, the initiative takes a bold turn from acknowledgment to amplification under the theme “Show Her Off,” focusing on women who are breaking barriers, building sustainable ventures, influencing policy, leading at the corporate helm, transforming communities, and shaping culture. On Saturday, March 27, these women will be celebrated at a flagship gathering featuring inspiring conversations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to deepen the visibility and influence of women’s contributions to national development.
Kunbi Adeoti, Leadway’s Chief People Experience Officer, described Hersurred as “a bold expression of our commitment to inclusion and lasting societal impact,” stressing that the platform affirms the strength, resilience, and transformative power of women across every sphere of life. She added that by deliberately highlighting women making a difference, Leadway hopes to convert visibility into tangible opportunities, nurturing aspirations for the girl child and women everywhere.
Over the years, the company has also partnered with Heels and Tech to sponsor women’s tech skills training in data analysis, product management, and product design, and will host a skills‑acquisition workshop to further equip women with practical tools for career and entrepreneurial growth. Through Hersurred, Leadway continues to champion women’s leadership, amplify their achievements, and inspire a new generation to lead boldly.
