The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Engr. (Dr.) Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, has praised the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) for sustaining a cordial relationship and fostering industrial harmony within the organisation. Speaking at the National Joint Advisory Committee Meeting between NUEE’s National Executives and TCN management in Abuja on 26 March 2026, he said the union’s leadership has played a key role in advancing the company’s collective progress.

Abdulaziz assured NUEE that TCN management remains committed to improving staff welfare and maintaining a collaborative environment, even amid the broader challenges bedeviling the country’s power sector. He urged continued dialogue and partnership between the union and management to ensure stability and efficiency in transmission operations.

Representing the NUEE leadership, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero, commended TCN management for its efforts to enhance workers’ welfare, while also calling for improved remuneration and conditions in light of the prevailing economic pressures. The meeting featured discussions on staff welfare and other operational issues affecting the efficient running of TCN.
