The Ports Authority Police Command has extended heartfelt felicitations to Muslim faithful, maritime stakeholders, port users, and the general public on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir (Eid-ul-Adha). Commissioner of Police Oluwatoyin Agbaminoja, on behalf of officers and men of the Command, emphasized the festival’s core values of sacrifice, obedience, tolerance, and love and urged all residents and visitors within the port environment to uphold peace, unity, and mutual respect throughout the celebration period.
The Command confirmed that it has deployed adequate security measures across the nation’s seaports, terminals, jetties, waterways, and other critical maritime infrastructure to ensure a peaceful and disturbance‑free celebration. Officers have been strategically positioned to strengthen surveillance, enhance visible policing, and safeguard lives and property before, during, and after the festivities. The Commissioner called on members of the public, port operators, transport unions, and maritime stakeholders to remain security‑conscious and to promptly report any suspicious movement or activities to the nearest port police formation.
While wishing Muslim faithful a joyful and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir, the Ports Authority Police Command reassured the public of its unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring safety within port corridors, and sustaining effective policing in support of Nigeria’s maritime economy.
