Police Retreat: IGP, Senior Officers Converge For 2-Day Conference In Akwa Ibom

Point News247 reports that the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba is holding a two day Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

In a brief press statement from the Force Public Relations Department and made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP stated that, “The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc, the host – His Excellency Udom Emmanuel, Executive Governor of Akwa-Ibom State – other guests and participants during the opening ceremony of a 2-day Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers – DIGs, AIGs, CPs – held at Ibom Icon Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.”

According to statement, “The Conference and Retreat holding on February 8 – 9, 2022, was declared open by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who was represented at the event by the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Alh. Maigari Dingyadi.”

“Other dignitaries at the event include: the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, His Excellency, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Senate Committee Chairman on Police Affairs, Sen. Haliru Jika, the House Committee Chairman on Police Affairs, Hon. Bello Kumo, amongst others.”
