President Buhari urged to include Estate Experts in Infrastructure Development

Prof Olurotimi Adebowale Kemiki, University Don has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to include Estate Surveyors and Valuers in the maintenance of infrastructure in Nigeria.

The Professor of Estate Management and Valuation Federal University of Technology Minna Niger state stated this at the one hundred and three inaugural lecture series with the theme Property Value What is Behind Six Is More Than Seven held at Gidan Kwano campus.

Professor Kemiki said before the President Muhammadu Buhari executive order on maintainance there are other professionals maintaining property and that they couldn’t get it right.

According to him this is because the Presidential executive order on maintainance excluded Estate Surveyors and Valuers.

Professor Kemiki maintained that including Estate Surveyors and Valuers will no doubt solve the problem because they possessed the rich and robust intellectual capabilities to go about effective maintainance of public infrastructure and property.

Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Faruk Adamu Kuta expressed happiness that there is growth and development as far as academic is concern stressing that inaugural lecture series are some of the best practices that universities are suppose to be known for and that FUT Minna is not doing bad.

Prof Faruk Adamu Kuta also exppressed the hope that before the end of his tenure as Vice Chancellor Federal University of Technology Minna they will have more than three hundred inaugural lectures presented.

He however applauded Prof Kemiki for doing justce to the inaugural lecture.
