The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reaffirmed its plan to open the Radisson Hospitality‑branded hotel and conference centre in Yenagoa by December 2026, positioning the facility as a world‑class hub for oil and gas stakeholders and wider business activity in the Niger Delta. NCDMB Executive Secretary Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe gave the assurance on Friday during a project management tour and workshop at the Nigerian Content Tower, where he hosted executives from Edison Properties and Megastar Technical and Construction Company.
Ogbe stressed the need to complete and commission the 204‑room Radisson Conference Hotel Yenagoa on schedule, noting that the facility will serve as a strategic venue for industry conferences, investor meetings, and high‑level business engagements. He said the project is expected to spur economic activity in Bayelsa State and the broader Niger Delta, strengthening infrastructure and local content in the oil and gas sector. The hotel will be developed adjacent the Nigerian Content Tower in Swali, Yenagoa, and is being managed under an international management agreement with Radisson Hospitality Belgium and Edison Hotel and Property Development Company.
In his remarks, Edison’s Managing Director, Mr. Reddy Vathasallum, assured stakeholders that delivery will align with global standards and best practices, while representatives of Radisson Hotel Group presented updates on construction progress and proposed hotel‑management strategies. The workshop concluded with a site inspection tour, underscoring NCDMB’s commitment to positioning the Yenagoa hospitality hub as a leading regional destination for business, tourism, and investment.
