The Ewheyae Isoko Association of Nigeria Worldwide, is a vibrant cultural group dedicated to celebrating Isoko traditions, promoting family values, integrity, and empowering women. As passionate custodians of their rich heritage, they honour their family values and stand unwavering against injustice, advocating tirelessly for women’s and youths’ well-being. Recently, this committed organization voiced strong condemnation after a shocking attack on women during the festive Alue-Do celebration in Ozoro Kingdom, Delta State.

Describing the incident as a “heinous act,” the Ewheya Isoko Association condemned how violent hoodlums hijacked the cherished annual festival — a lively event known for communal celebration.

“This terrible assault dishonours our cultural values and traditions,” declared President General Mrs. Elizabeth Oghale Awoh (JP). “It contradicts the peaceful, welcoming spirit of the Isoko people. We are deeply shocked and enraged.”

The association praised the swift response of key leaders: the Governor of Delta State, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, the Local Government Chairman, Ozoro Kingdom’s Ovie, and other Isoko officials and dignitaries. “We stand united with them and the victims’ families,” Awoh emphasized.

Ewheyae Isoko calls for a comprehensive investigation: “Leave no stone unturned. Bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure they face the full weight of the law as a warning to others.”

With roots in Isoko communities across Nigeria and beyond, the group remains committed to fostering safe environments, promoting girl-child education, and eliminating violence so women can live and thrive without fear.
