A ThIrty-five-year-old woman, Mrs. Comfort Innocent, has confessed that she trafficked teenagers from Nigeria to Italy through the crisis-ridden Libya for prostitution. Comfort, who was arrested by the police in Ogun State, said she had been in the trade for a long time adding that, her husband, who lived in Italy, receive the trafficked girls. Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has disclosed plans to roll out an Electronic-Customs platforms with capacity to promote future increase in cargo throughput using technology. The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), and the Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria (MAN) have warned the Nigerian government against the looming COVID-19 second lockdown, saying the country’s fragile economy cannot withstand it.
