The Oyo/Osun Command of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) intercepted various types of goods worth ₦59,087,983,670.64k in Duty Paid Value (DPV) between January and October 2023. The Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Ben Oramalugo, who stated this at his maiden media briefing in Ibadan, Oyo State, over the weekend, said the Command was able to seize goods worth ₦11,679,732,583.91k in DPV between September, when he assumed duties, and October 2023, through his rigorous enforcement measures and strategic initiatives. Saudi Arabia has cancelled the visa of all the 264 passengers airlifted by Nigeria’s major carrier, Air Peace, on arrival in Jeddah from Kano and insisted that the airline should return them back to Nigeria. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) successfully defended their title as champions of the Ships & Ports Maritime Cup after defeating Nigeria Customs Service in the final match of the 2023 edition of the tournament. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it has received a report of forged election result sheets in Kogi State, adding that it is investigating the fake results in circulation in the state. A civil society organization, YIAGA Africa, had raised the alarm over the discovery of election results from Polling Unit 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/Mangogo area of the state.
