The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) successfully defended their title as champions of the Ships & Ports Maritime Cup after defeating Nigeria Customs Service in the final match of the 2023 edition of the tournament. NPA was a goal down at the first half of the highly contested final duel, powerfully equalized in the second half. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it has received a report of forged election result sheets in Kogi State, adding that it is investigating the fake results in circulation in the state. Armed thugs have invaded polling units in the southern Ijaw and Sagbama local government areas of Bayelsa State, hijacking election materials and disrupting voting.
