Point News247 reports that the Lagos State government has announced the temporary closure of stadium Flyover.

The Lagos State government says there will be a traffic diversion in the Surulere area of the state as a result of repairs on the stadium flyover.

Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde in a statement said the flyover will not be operational between November 19 and December 24.

Oladeinde said the repairs at the flyover would be in phases.

According to him, the diversion points for phase one of the rehabilitation would be from Alaka to the stadium service lane inbound the barracks in Surulere.

The Commissioner said, “The state traffic management authority will be on ground to coordinate movement.”

He, therefore, appealed to the citizenry for their “understanding and patience amidst various ongoing road projects within the State,” adding that “the end result will be beneficial to the people and Lagos”.
