The Apex Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area have received Comrade Ayodele Adewale, a frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, in a warm and consultative meeting held on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, at the party’s secretariat on 3rd Avenue, B Close, Festac Town, Lagos State. The event was marked by prayers for his success and a robust exchange of political advice as he prepares for the upcoming APC primaries.
Chaired by Prince Rasheed Otolorin, Chairman of the Apex body and former Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, and jointly presided over by Alhaja Memunat Ajao, the meeting brought together leading APC stakeholders in the area. In attendance were key figures such as Chief Dotun Adegbola, Chief Mrs. Omotanwa Olusi, Chief Shajobi, Otunba Banjo Ayeni, Alhaji Libari Oseni, Chief Dayo Ariyo, Mrs. Lyndia Otejeh, Chief Aberuagba, Alhaji Okeshina, Alhaji Shanu, Alhaji Ariyo, Mrs. Francis, and Mr. Elebute Abiodun, the APC Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area.
Others present included Mr. Ayo Ogungbiye, former APC Chairman in the LGA, Mr. Ajayi, Alhaji Tijani, and Hon. Sunday Adedeji, while Prince Sultan Adeniji Adele attended briefly before leaving for another engagement. The gathering underscored the importance of consultation, unity, and internal cohesion within the APC as the party approaches its primary elections.
Comrade Adewale was urged not to relent in reaching out to all party members and community stakeholders. In response, he appreciated the leaders for their prayers and counsel, pledged to take their advice seriously, and assured that he would place the development and empowerment of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency at the heart of his legislative agenda if elected.
A former Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Adewale has served in several key political and student leadership roles, including APC Lagos State Organising Secretary, Lagos State Coordinator for the APC E‑Registration Exercise, Mobilization and Liaison Officer to the PRONACO panel led by Chief Anthony Enahoro, Secretary to the June 12 Coalition under the late Dr. Beko Ransome‑Kuti, Secretary to Prof. Wole Soyinka’s Citizens Forum, and as National Public Relations Officer of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and President of the Lagos State University Students’ Union Government.
The Apex leaders commended his depth of experience and grassroots rootedness, while Comrade Adewale assured them that he would not take their support for granted and would work to justify their trust through principled representation and developmental impact.
