The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has postponed the start of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course for prospective corps members posted to Sokoto and Niger states.

The adjustment is due to ongoing renovation work at the two orientation camps being carried out by the respective state governments.

Under the revised schedule, the orientation programme will begin on Wednesday, 12 August 2026. The cut-off and swearing-in ceremony will take place on Friday, 14 August, while the closing ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, 1 September 2026.

The NYSC urged all prospective corps members to plan their journeys carefully and avoid travelling to the orientation camps at night for safety reasons.

The Director-General of the scheme, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wished the prospective corps members safe journeys to their designated camps.
