Point News247 reports that no fewer than six human bodies have been consumed after an inferno gutted the mortuary at the Agagbe Community in Gwer-West Local Government Area of Benue State, North Central Nigeria. The fire was reported to have started in the late hours of Friday, burning to ashes the bodies deposited at the morgue. The mortuary was said to belong to St. Francis Xavier Parish Agagbe and the fire broke out at about 5:00 pm on Friday. Confirming the report, the Police Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, a Superintendent of Police said that six corpses were burnt.

The Enugu Chapter of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has condemned the attacked on Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) officers in Enugu, which led to the death of one officer, while another was injured. Point News247 reports that the Supreme Court has declared as unlawful and unconstitutional, Executive Order 10 (EO10) on the funding of State Judiciary and Legislature. In a split decision on Friday, a majority of the court’s seven-member panel agreed that the President exceeded his constitutional powers in issuing the EO10. Six out of the seven members of the panel proceeded to void and set aside the EO10 issued by President Muhammadu Buhari.
