Some airport officials caught extorting a passenger at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, have been suspended by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). The Director-General, Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Mallam Farouk Salim, has charged standards agencies in Africa to harmonise standards and broker mutual agreements to ensure the success of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
