The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has warned against spraying naira notes at social functions, describing it as an “unpatriotic practice”. The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), should be exempted from remitting 25 per cent of its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to the Federal Government coffers. The Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation, Senator Smart Adeyemi expressed this view in Lagos. According to him,once the six Aviation Bills at the National Assembly are passed into law and assented to by the President, it would bring out new approach to aviation management and oversight functions. The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) is set to partner Bayelsa State Government and the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) for the recycling of wrecks and derelicts recovered from the waters.
