Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has increased the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) locally assembled compactor trucks with the launch of 102 brand new ones. The governor also launched another100 units of double dino waste bins in a bid to reduce turn-around time in waste evacuation within the metropolis, thereby achieving cleaner and healthier environment. With the constitution of a 4-Man special investigation panel in Abuja, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has called for the immediate suspension of DCP Abba Kyari, the Head of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), from the Service of the Nigeria Police Force, pending the outcome of an ongoing internal investigations on him. The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has taken the war against substandard goods in NigerIa to the next level as it partnered online trading platforms to address influx of substandard products in the country.
