With the dawn of a new year, Deltans have been urged to embrace prayers and peaceful coexistence as the only way to ensure progress in 2022.
Point News247 reports that foremost Delta Governorship aspirant, legal practitioner and the Okiemute’re Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, Olorogun Barrister Fred Okiemute Majemite, made this call in his new year message to Deltans.
Majamite sent New Year greetings to incumbent Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the entire people of Delta State.
Majemite in a new year Message, said year 2022 is a year to demonstrate togetherness, peace, patience, tolerance and show love to our neighbors because many are yet to overcome the effects of the Covid 19 and Omicron viruses.
The Governorship aspirant urged Deltans to use the solemnity which the yuletide season provides to also examine their spiritual lives so that they can be more spiritually prepared for the end time challenges that are manifesting across the globe. Majemite also urge Deltans to specifically pray for Delta State and her leaders.
While wishing Governor Ifeanyi Okowa a prosperous New Year, Majemite noted that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Chief James Ibori, former Governor of Delta State have done so much to ensure that Delta State remain very peaceful as such the peace that the state currently enjoys should be maintained in order to attract investments that can enhance further growth and employment in the urban towns in Delta State as well as in the riverine areas.
Furthermore, the Ughelli born grassroots politician who is equally a Knight of St John International noted that ‘ peaceful coexistence, tolerance, forgiveness and playing politics without bitterness are key to building a strong foundation for development and growth of the people and the State.
