The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has been nominated for the Daily Independent Regulatory Agency of the Year 2024 Award. The formal letter of nomination was presented to the MD/CEO of NDIC, Bello Hassan, by the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of Daily Independent, Omanufeme Steve, at the NDIC Head Office in Abuja.
The nomination is a testament to NDIC’s commitment to ensuring the stability of the Nigerian financial system. Under Bello Hassan’s leadership, the corporation has made significant strides in promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in the banking sector.
The event was attended by other top officials of the NDIC, including Executive Director (Operations), Mustapha M. Ibrahim; Executive Director (Corporate Services), Emily Osuji; as well as representatives from Daily Independent, including Chairman Editorial Board, Opeyemi Soyombo; Managing Editor, Kingsley Ighomwenghian; and Abuja Bureau Chief, Samuel Ogidan.
