The Finance and Online Publishers Association (FiBOP) has announced the second edition of its youth capacity building and empowerment program, designed to equip young Nigerians with essential skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), insurance, and financial literacy.
Themed “Empowering Nigerian Youths with Knowledge of Insurance, Digital Payment, and Investment to Drive Financial Inclusion,” the program is scheduled to take place in April 2025 at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos. Over 300 Senior Secondary School students and teachers from various educational districts in Lagos State are expected to participate.
According to FiBOP President, Charles Onwuatogwu, the program aims to provide valuable insights and knowledge to Senior Secondary School students, enabling them to engage with industry experts and government officials. “We believe that this program will contribute significantly to the students’ understanding of the complexities of insurance and the financial ecosystem, equipping them with the knowledge and skill set required for future leadership roles and contributions to the nation’s economic growth”.
The event will feature key stakeholders in the insurance, ICT, and financial sectors, as well as the celebration of notable figures who serve as sources of inspiration for the upcoming generations. FiBOP is a registered association of online publishers dedicated to building capacity and making impactful contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy and the African continent.
